Automating reporting processes with AI

Problem: Meta was experiencing a sharp increase in requests for transparency reports and ad-hoc responses to regulatory inquiries. Internal teams could not efficiently meet the demand if the trend continued.

Approach: Partnered with eng, product designer, product manager, internal regulatory readiness customers. Used AI to automate the document sourcing and initial report drafting process (the most time-consuming steps).

Solution: Co-designed a custom LLM agent and dashboard to fetch legal and regulatory documentation and create first drafts of regulatory responses and transparency reports.

Result: Improved legal and regulatory response team efficiency by expected 90% through design-supported AI-powered tooling.
